The term "Mudra" is used in Sanskrit to signify a gesture, a mystical position of the hands, a seal, even a symbol. These sacred gestures are more than 3000 years old.
These symbolic finger and hand gestures engage certain areas of the brain and/or soul and have an influence on them. Mudras help us to be in a specific psychological state (concentration, mental relaxation…) as well as a physical well-being.
Our hands reflect our thoughts and emotions. They can comfort and heal because they relate directly to the energies of our own body and the entire universe.
The integration of mudras in my approach
The effect of the mudras is intensified with the breathing which makes it a complementary practice to meditation and Face Yoga. They add a symbol, a special energy or intention to the practice.
