Let's talk about the aging process, shall we ?

Today I played with an app that enables us to picture an older version of ourselves ... It makes us wonder, doesn't it ?

What we all want is a face that ages gracefully. Aging, yes but also preserving our inner and , of course, outer beauty .

So, I thought of writing an article to explain how our face ages.

Dozens of changes take place over the years, some of them are obvious and well known such as:

  • The forehead which expands as the hair recedes,

  • The ears which often get a little longer because the cartilage continues growing,

  • The tip of the nose which can sag because the connective tissue supporting the nasal cartilage weakens.

But, there are also structural rearrangements playing out behind the scenes!

When we are young, the fat from our face is evenly distributed, it plumps up the forehead, temples, cheeks as well as the areas around the eyes and mouth.

With age, this fat loses volume, accumulates and moves downwards causing the face to sag. Then, we tend to be puffy around the chin and on the neck.

In addition, collagen, produced by fibroblasts, is responsible for the firmness, elasticity, flexibility and youthfulness of our skin. But, the older we get, the more the number of fibroblasts decrease and therefore the amount of collagen does the same. Our skin becomes thinner, less elastic and wrinkles appear.

Aaaaaaaaah, here we are ... the wrinkles !! ...

There are several types of wrinkles from various origins. Therefore, we do not treat all wrinkles in the same way!

  • Deep lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows and on the sides of the mouth are expression lines. They are the result of repeated movements of the muscles which continuously pull the skin ending up wrinkling it permanently.

  • Other wrinkles can also become deeper due to the way the facial fat decreases and moves especially on the mouth area and lower face.

  • Fine wrinkles are caused by damage from the sun, smoking, lifestyle and natural skin degeneration process.

Face Yoga is really very effective to slow down the signs of aging and keep your face looking younger!

It helps you to regain confidence in your appearance but also to increase your self-confidence.

With a routine adapted to you, your needs and your desires, 15 to 20 minutes of practice per day is enough to see tangible results quickly.

In Face Yoga, regularity and consistency are essential for maximum results. Better a little bit every day than just an hour one day per week.

And I can tell you that it's very motivating to see your face evolve and change as you go!
